The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas is soliciting contractors to perform vegetation management services on the Angelina National Forest, Caddo/LBJ National Grasslands, Davy Crockett National Forest, Sabine National Forest, and Sam Houston National Forest. Work includes but is not limited to non-native invasive species (NNIS) control, mechanical site preparation, pre-commercial thinning (PCT), mechanical firelines construction, tree planting, herbicide application, mowing/mulching/chainsaw treatments, hazard tree felling, re-vegetation treatments, and rare plant and NNIS surveys.
This is a request for proposals which will result in award of multiple firm fixed price, performance-based, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts for a basic period of performance from the date of award through December 31, 2015, plus four one-year option periods. Submission of an offer for the basic contract period constitutes an offer to perform in the option period(s), if exercised. The government anticipates making award to multiple offerors as a result of the solicitation. This project is set-aside 100% for small businesses. Award will be made based on the best value to the government and can be made on initial offers.
