PACKAGING AND CONTAINERS NEEDED
The Embassy of the United States in Lima, Peru will issue a solicitation for packing services. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to provide packing, freight handling, forwarding, cargo storage, customs clearance and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or moved within the geographic areas of Lima. Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, direct labor personnel, materials and transportation that are necessary to accomplish all work required. Contractor employees shall be on site only for performance of contractual duties and not for thither business purposes. The estimated quantity of packing services is as follows: packing of HHE 120,000 Lbs; packing of UAB 8,750 Lbs; unpacking of HHE 96,000 Lbs; unpacking of UAB 9,750 Lbs; monthly storage of effects 10,000 Lbs; estimated standard lift vans 200 Ea; estimated double lift vans 1 Ea. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation in November 2014. This solicitation will be advertised on FEDBIZOPPS and Embassy, Lima website - no paper copies will be mailed. Note: The response date in this synopsis is not a firm date.
