The purpose of this notice is to inform that the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure on a sole source basis with Snap On Tools, 2801 80th St., Kenosha, WI 53143-5656.  This will be a procurement of 13 ea Crowfoot wrench tool kits for Catapult Union Joints.  Snap On Tools is the only company with the ability to meet the hardness rating required in the wrench that is needed for the Critical Union Nut.


 


The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  This is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this notice.  Any responses should reference N68335-14-T-0238.
