Machinery Manufacturing/333111 -- Farm Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunities website to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The solicitation number AG-7442-S-14-0020 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and is being conducted as a 100% small business set aside. The North American Classification System Code is 333111; the size standard is 500 employees. This RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-74. This requirement will be awarded as a commercial item, fixed price purchase order under the procedures at FAR Parts 12 and 13. Description: The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service has a Brand Name or Equal requirement for a Woods Precision Seeder, Model PSS84. The offeror will provide a Woods Precision Seeder, Model PSS84 or equal. If providing an equal, provide the manufacturer and part number of the item so that evaluation of the item can be made. Below are the minimum specifications to be determined an acceptable equal. 1. Must plant a minimum of 72" width. 2. Must be capable of planting on unprepared and prepared seed beds. 3. Must have 3 seed boxes; One for standard sized seeds, a native grass box and a legume box. 4. Must have independent calibration for at least 2 seed boxes. 5. Must have planting depth adjustment which could include but not limited to adjustable down pressure on openers, depth gauge on wheels, or setting the angle of attack on coulters to be as aggressive as needed for multiple soil types and conditions. 6. Mechanics to operate seeder must be ground driven, not PTO driven, and preferably not driven by front coulters. Equipment will be shipped to Nacogdoches, TX 75964. Please include freight cost in your quote or state that freight is included in the total amount of your quote.
