Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Bremerton, WA intends to solicit for five (5) types of coveralls under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 13.5 Commercial Items - Test Program for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF)). An indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed-priced (FFP) contract will be issued. This requirement is being issued as a synopsis for commercial items in accordance with FAR 5.203. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis. The solicitation number for this requirement will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) SPMYM2-14-Q-0018. The proposed acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business.
The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 315210 and has a size standard of 500 employees. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 2005-70 will be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download on or around 29 Nov 2013. The closing date of the solicitation will be specified in the solicitation. The RFQ will be posted to the Government wide Point of entry at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ and for frequently monitoring the site for any amendments. A bidders list will not be maintained by this office, no telephone or fax requests for the RFQ packages will be accepted.
Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals specified on the solicitation may render vendor offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. Firms interested in submitting offers must: 1) complete the pricing, 2) complete all representation and certifications found in the solicitation, 3) provide manufacturer information of proposed items, and 4) ensure current registration in the SAM (System for Award Management) System.
