Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property NAICS Code: 238 -- Specialty Trade Contractors/238330 -- Flooring Contractors This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. ALL INTERESTED BIDDERS MUST BE REGISTERED AND CURRENT IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (WWW.SAM.GOV) NOT LATER THAN 1 WEEK AFTER THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. STATEMENT OF WORK REMOVE/REPLACE CARPET FACILITY 110: (ROOMS 101, 102, 103, 104,105, 136, 137, 139, 142 A, B, C, 163, 171, 172, and 173) WORK ORDER # 201400787 The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to replace carpet in Facility 110 (Rooms 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 136, 137, 139, 142 A,B,C, 163, 171, 172, 173 ): A site survey will be required to submit a bid. Please contact CMSgt Timothy Mulligan at 515-261-8703 to coordinate a site visit. Work includes, but not limited to: Facility 110 (Removal): Contractor shall remove/replace approximately 4,800 sq. ft. of carpet and associated vinyl base. Contractor shall remove/replace transitions. Contractor shall dispose of all carpet and vinyl at an approved carpet recycling facility at an off-site location OR deposit Government designated carpet rolls (Government determined to be recyclable) at an on-base location determined by the Government. The Government will take ownership of the items determined to be recyclable and will handle all shipping to recycling facility and/or disposal. Old glue shall be removed and all seam holes and unevenness shall be leveled with thin set. Contractor shall field verify all measurements. Hours of work: 7:30 - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Facility 110 (Install): New carpet shall be recycled Carpet Squares. Color and quality shall be approved by Civil Engineer representative. Preferred tile size: 24 quote mark X 24 quote mark New carpet quality must meet or exceed the specifications below. o Carpet shall be not less than gauge 1/12 o Recycled, commercial quality o Limited Lifetime Warranty Excessive Wear: Not less than 15% loss of pile fiber weight for warranty Resiliency Loss: Not less than 10% loss of backing resiliency calculated using average thickness measurements for warranty Contractor shall match existing carpet. Door, step transitions color shall be FLEXICO equivalent vender, color quote mark Ingot Gray quote mark color and quality shall be approved by Civil Engineer representative. Base shall be vinyl base by FLEXICO or equivalent vendor, color quote mark Ingot Gray quote mark number 070. Contractor shall disassemble and remove all furniture and equipment prior to carpet demolition. Contractor shall reassemble and return all furniture in its original set-up after new carpet installation is complete. Contractor shall divide project into two phases to facilitate the movement of office furniture. Contractor shall remove/replace transitions. Contractor shall dispose of all carpet and vinyl at an approved carpet recycling facility at an off-site location OR deposit Government designated carpet rolls (Government determined to be recyclable) at an on-base location determined by the Government.
