The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for authorized original equipment manufacturer MTU America, Inc. brand name parts on the Port and Starboard Series 8000 Main Propulsion Diesel Engines (MPDE) on board USNS CHOCTAW COUNTY (T-EPF 2) and USNS MILLINOCKET (T-EPF 3). MSC has identified MTU America, Inc. as a known source that have parts compatible with the existing MTU America, Inc. MPDEs in meeting MSC identified requirements including maintaining functionality, performance, and any existing warranty on the units. Respondents shall provide a full description of their capability to meet the anticipated requirement including other possible solutions.
