US Army Health Contracting Activity (Provisional), Regional Health Contracting Office - Atlantic (Provisional) intends to issue a solicitation for one Family Practice Physician for MEDDAC, Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic, Fort Drum, NY. Fort Drum is considered to be a hardship area, and an extremely hard area to staff. Fort Drum is located in Northern New York State, about 30 miles south of the Canadian border. The nearest somewhat large city is Syracuse, about 70 miles south. This is a very rural farm area, and winters are extremely harsh. Fort Drum can receive 1-2 feet of snow in a day and have wind chills of -40. The area can receive snow in October and May. Fort Drum offers bountiful outdoor recreational opportunities from hunting and fishing to winter sports of all types. Ft. Drum borders Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, Canada, the Adirondack Mountains, and Vermont.
The contract will be a firm fixed price, personal services type contract. Services will be required beginning on 01 August 2016 for a base period of one year with four one year option periods. This acquisition will be set aside for Small Business, NAICS Code 621111, Size Standard $11.0M. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Release of the solicitation is scheduled on or about 8 February 2016. The solicitation and all amendments will be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov). It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. No hard copies will be mailed. Inquiries about the solicitation will not be responded to until the solicitation has been released. To be eligible for award, prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) internet site, www.sam.gov, under the appropriate small business category and NAICS.
