The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to award multiple delivery and task order contracts with exception to fair opportunity. This is a notice pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(ii)(D)(1) and is not a Request for Quotes (RFQ) or Request for Proposals (RFP). No contract award will be made based on responses to this notice.

TSA's Office of Security Capabilities (OSC) intends to procure eXaminer 6700 Explosive Detection System (EDS) units and associated installation, integration and networking services throughout Fiscal Year 2016 (FY16) in support of checked baggage screening. Resulting delivery and task order contracts are anticipated to be issued to L3 Communications, Inc. (10E Commerce Way, Woburn, MA 01801) under Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract HSTS04-12-D-CT1200.


Interest and capability to respond to the requirement from interested parties will be considered by the Government until five business days after publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether it is in the Government's best interest to provide fair opportunity. A determination by the Government not to provide fair opportunity to all TSA EDS IDIQ Awardees based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Such determinations will be publicized in accordance with FAR requirements. Interested vendors who wish to seek subcontracting opportunities should contact the above named company directly.
