Lease or Rental of equipment NAICS Code: 485 -- Transit and Ground Passenger Transportation/485119 -- Other Urban Transit Systems The Peace Corps intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Capital Bikeshare for a bicycle sharing to assist the Special Programs Division with coordinating, tracking and analyzing the bike sharing membership request at Peace Corps headquarters building. Anticipated Period of Performance: The period of performance for this requirement includes one (1) base year and four (4) option years. The base year will be a twelve month period. The options years, if exercised, will be 12-month periods that will occur consecutively following the previous performance period. Place of Performance: Work shall be performed on-site Peace Corps Headquarters, Washington, DC. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Capital Bikeshare is the only commercial bike sharing company offering memberships that include an initial thirty (30) minutes free period of use. There are no additional public bicycle sharing services within the Washington DC area and within walking distance (.5 miles) from the Peace Corps Headquarters building. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five (5) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly be able to provide the services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. Responses received after five (5) days or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
